Senior Learning Designer
As a Senior Learning Designer at the CTL, Kenny works closely with faculty and administrators, primarily at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Projects he has worked on include developing a large web-based repository of Torah Commentary and other digital media; transforming courses into a blended model; developing a website designed to track and visualize Jewish books in time and place; selecting and implementing a new learning management system; and helping to plan, manage, and support two cohorts of an inter-institutional faculty development program. Additionally, Kenny helps design professional development for faculty and colleagues, including facilitating several workshops and presentations. He formed a group called The Collaboratory, designed to foster more collaboration, exploration, and knowledge sharing among all of the CTL staff.
Prior to working at the CTL, Kenny worked at Champlain College as a Senior eLearning Developer where he helped develop courses in a number of disciplines including web development, accounting, and mediation. Kenny received his B.A. in Psychology from Oberlin College, a certificate in Web Development from Champlain College, and an M.A. in Information and Learning Technology from the University of Colorado at Denver, where he also works as an online adjunct lecturer. He is currently pursuing an Ed.M. in Adult Learning and Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Kenny lives in Washington Heights, and in his spare time (when there is any) he enjoys playing softball, riding his bike, going to the park or to the beach, and exploring the city.
