The CTL is here to support faculty newly facilitating their courses online through our on-demand resources, virtual office hours, and one-on-one consultations. We recognize and empathize that the transition to a remote teaching and learning format may be challenging for many of us. We are standing by to provide guidance through the access points below.
Virtual Office Hours
CTL staff are holding daily Office Hours to help faculty with questions related to teaching remotely, as well as any other teaching-related inquiries.

On-Demand Resources
Asynchronous Learning Across Time Zones
Asynchronous learning gives students the flexibility to access course information, demonstrate their learning, and communicate from anywhere and at any time. This resource provides tips for setting up an online course that allows instructors and students to engage with course material, activities, and each other at different times.
Self-Paced Course: Intro to CourseWorks (Canvas) Online
This self-paced course provides an overview of the basic features and functionality of CourseWorks, guides users through setting up their course site, and presents the CourseWorks tools and features that can help provide an enriching learning experience for students.
[External] ACUE’s Online Teaching Toolkit
The Association of College and University Educators has developed a robust toolkit of resources and recommendations to support instructors transitions to an online environment. Resource topic areas include: welcoming students to the online environment, managing your online presence, organizing your online course, planning and facilitating quality discussions, recording effective microlectures, and engaging students in readings and microlectures.
