This Week for Graduate Students: CTLGrads Summer Book Club: Teaching in Online Spaces

Are you interested in the research on teaching and learning in online spaces and how to apply this research to your teaching practice? Join us every other week, starting June 3rd, for this summer’s CTLgrads Bookclub where we will read Minds Online: Teaching Effectively with Technology (2014) by Michelle Miller, PhD, and dig into the research on student learning, memory, attention, and motivation in digital and online learning environments.

We will read 1-2 chapters each session and will also focus on how to use education research like Miller’s work to inform our own teaching practices. Participants are expected to have read the chapters beforehand in order to contribute to and learn from the bookclub’s discussions.

These sessions are open to graduate students and postdocs, feel free to join any or all sessions throughout the summer!
