Collaborative Learning Seminar

The Collaborative Learning Seminar is a series of four sessions that explore small group learning activities and the instructional methods and technologies that support them. Working in groups, participants experience various cooperative interactions and support each other’s exploration of collaborative learning. By the end of the seminar, each participant will have designed a collaborative learning activity linked to learning objectives that will be ready to run with students or show to colleagues.

Building Your Teaching E-Portfolio

Are you building a teaching e-portfolio for the academic job market and the CTL’s Teaching Development Program? Wondering what materials to gather or how to get started? In this session, participants will examine sample teaching e-portfolios and determine what effective communication, design, and layout look like in the digital environment. During the session CTL staff will provide guidance on how to build out your e-portfolio and leverage it to your advantage on the academic job market.

The CTL offers Teaching Observations with trained peer consultants who can help you think through your course goals, your teaching observation experience, and your future teaching. CTL Teaching Observations are confidential and evidence-based, developed to support you in your teaching practices.

To arrange for a teaching observation, please submit the online request form at least two weeks prior to the date when you like to be observed.
