New DIY Media Production Space Opens at CUIMC

by | Aug 20, 2018

The Center for Teaching and Learning’s (CTL) DIY Media Production Spaces are recording facilities for instructors interested in creating multimedia to use in their courses.

The CTL announces the opening of a DIY Media Production Space at CUIMC in our office in the 168th Street Armory. This sound-isolating space is suitable for instructors wishing to create high-quality media recordings of lectures and presentations, interactive videos, screencasts, or annotated media. Instructors can make use of a touchscreen display, microphones, lighting, and backdrops, including a green screen. Media recording tools supported include Camtasia, iMovie, Audacity, and other production-grade software. The recording studio is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with an adjustable-height desk. The CTL’s other DIY media facility is located in Butler Library Room 204 on the Morningside Campus.
If you’re interested in creating instructional media for your course, submit a request and a CTL Learning Designer will be in touch.

The CUIMC DIY Studio was made possible with the generous support from the College of Dental Medicine.
