Provost Teaching and Learning Grants

Looking to integrate new educational methods or technologies into your classroom? The Office of the Provost provides a variety of funding opportunities of up to $25,000 for Columbia faculty looking to enhance their learning environments. Grant offerings range from experimenting with one new pedagogical tool to a full course redesign. Recipients receive logistical, organizational, and instructional support from the CTL. Request for Proposals (RFPs) for 2020 grants are now open.

We strongly encourage all faculty to get a head start on your proposal to prepare for the April 20, 2020 application due date. Please contact ColumbiaCTL@columbia.edu to schedule a consultation with CTL staff to help develop your project plan and determine the appropriate in-kind support level. The CTL can answer questions such as:

  • What kinds of projects are eligible for Provost teaching and learning grants?
  • What types of grants are available this year?
  • Which grant might be the best fit for your idea?
  • What CTL in-kind support is possible for your project?

The CTL offers several ways for faculty to learn more information and receive support for designing their proposal for a teaching and learning grant through information sessions, workshops, and office hours.
