The CTL offers Teaching Observations with trained peer consultants who can help you think through your course goals, your teaching observation experience, and your future teaching. CTL Teaching Observations are confidential, evidence-based, and developed to support you in your teaching practices.

Mid-Course Reviews (MCRs)

The CTL offers Mid-Course Reviews (MCRs) with trained peer consultants who talk directly to your students about what they find to be the most helpful and the most challenging aspects of your course, and then report back to you. CTL Mid-Course Reviews are confidential, formative, and designed to support you in your teaching practices.

Metacognition, sometimes referred to as “learning to learn,” is a powerful tool for building an equitable learning environment whether online or in-person. Examining key research in cognitive development theory, participants will learn how to intentionally use metacognitive strategies that help build students’ awareness of themselves as learners.
