
Valeria Spacciante
Ph.D. Candidate, Department of Classics; CTL Teaching Consultant
Valeria (she/her) is a 7th year PhD candidate in the Classics Department. She’s been collaborating with CTL for five years, during which she served as Lead Teaching Fellow, a Senior Lead Teaching Fellow, and facilitated the Pedagogies of Race and Oppression Learning Community, besides taking part in several workshops and initiatives on Inclusive Pedagogy and Difficult Knowledge in the Classroom. She taught Greek and Latin at all levels for her Department, and served as Literature Humanities preceptor for the Center for the Core Curriculum. She is passionate about inclusive teaching practices and applying the Universal Design for Learning to language classes. She is also interested in integrating Difficult Knowledge topics in teaching practices.
