Alyssa Famolari is a Learning Designer at the CTL and is passionate about closing the socioeconomic gap within higher education. She is dedicated to ensuring that equal education opportunities are available regardless of one’s ethnicity, background, gender, and/or wealth.

After graduating from Binghamton University with her degree in English and Spanish, Alyssa was a Spanish-Language Instructional Designer within K-12 education institutions for 5 years. She founded and spearheaded the National Spanish Honor Society, which provided dozens of students college scholarships and study abroad opportunities their junior and senior year of high school. Students also learned about the history of Latin America and current and past influential members of the Latinx community, appreciated Latinx film, literature, plays, and television, and practiced speaking in Spanish with their peers. In addition, she worked in the private sector as an English-Language Instructional Designer for small-owned businesses and financial corporations.

Alyssa is a proud New Yorker, born and raised in Queens (the greatest borough). When she has free time, she enjoys volunteering, binge-watching random TV shows with her 2 dogs and bunny, attempting to master new cooking recipes (emphasis on “attempting”), and embarrassingly dancing and singing along to music (specifically Bad Bunny). When all of her bills are paid on time and she has extra money in the bank, she also loves to travel the world. Her favorite places she has visited are Ireland, Dubai, Maldives, Paris, and Spain!
