Jenny is a Learning Designer at the CTL, where she collaborates closely with the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and the College of Dental Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Specializing in purposeful integration of learning technologies and learning sciences, Jenny creates engaging and meaningful learning experiences and resources. She also strives to make her design inclusive and accessible for learners with diverse needs.
Jenny has a background in developmental psychology, instructional design, and game design. Prior to joining the CTL, she served as a Learning Experience Designer at NYU and Berlitz. She also worked as a Communications Coordinator at the Research Alliance for New York City Schools. She also served as a community volunteer at Samaritans 24/7 helpline where she truly realized the significance of active listening. Jenny holds a B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Development with minors in Theater and English from Boston College, and an M.S. in Games for Learning from NYU Steinhardt.
Outside of work, Jenny spends tons of time watching films, though she never keeps a record of her extensive list :/. Her favorite director is (arguably) Quentin Tarantino. Jenny also studies comedy and designs tabletop games in her spare time. “Be playful and be inspiring” is her life motto.
