Rebecca Petitti is the Associate Director of Assessment and Strategic Initiatives at the CTL. In this role, Rebecca develops and implements assessment methodologies for teaching and learning initiatives, using data to determine impact and inform strategic planning. Rebecca supports faculty in developing assessment strategies for their teaching and learning innovations to further enhance student learning. Through her work, Rebecca is committed to driving the execution of strategic priorities and further supporting the culture of teaching excellence across the university.
Prior to starting in this role, Rebecca was a Senior Assistant Director of Faculty Programs and Services at the CTL, where she developed and facilitated professional development programming and services in areas such as Navigating HOT Moments, Inclusive Teaching, Teaching and Learning with AI, and more. Before joining the CTL, she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Academic Planning and Assessment at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she supported the institutional assessment of the General Education Curriculum. Rebecca is a proud first-generation college student, and holds a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an M.A. in English from Northeastern University, and a B.A. in English from Bridgewater State University.
In her spare time, Rebecca is an avid reader, and enjoys visiting all the museums, botanic gardens, and zoos that NYC has to offer with her husband and daughter.
