Danny Chan is the Associate Directory of Software Development and Project Management at the CTL. He collaborates closely with a team of educational technology experts to ensure the successful delivery of software projects. He assumes responsibility for overseeing instructional technology projects, managing the complete project life cycle, and providing leadership in software architecture, design, and development. His team continues to ensure compliance with university guidelines for security and risk management and collaborate with Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT) to foster seamless adoption of information technology solutions.

Before joining the CTL, Danny worked professionally with a range of startup to growth stage venture capital technology companies, as well as non-profit organizations, serving as their Tech Lead and Engineering Manager. Throughout these positions, he initiated projects, gathered business requirements, and drafted comprehensive functional and technical specifications. Notably, he led remote engineering teams across various international locations in Asia, Europe, and South America during his prior engagements. Danny graduated from Cal State University of Long Beach, where he holds a B.S. degree with a double major in Business and Operations Management.

In his spare time, Danny enjoys basketball, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife and kids.
