Laura Nicholas serves as Senior Communications and Outreach Manager for the Center for Teaching and Learning. In this role, her aim is to creatively and effectively communicate the Center’s philosophy, programs, and services to Columbia University and beyond. She manages a range of communications channels and projects to engage the Columbia teaching community in the CTL’s offerings.

Prior to joining the CTL, Laura served as Communications Manager for Project ALS, a nonprofit in New York. She also previously held various marketing and communications roles at other organizations. Laura received an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, and a B.A. in American Studies and minor in Hispanic Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. 

In her free time, Laura enjoys reading, playing piano, and exploring restaurants and museums in New York.
