This Week for Graduate Students: Thank-a-Prof/Thank-a-TA
Have you had impactful learning experiences with a professor or a TA at Columbia? Show your appreciation by writing a thank you note and we will pass it along!
The CTL runs an initiative called “Thank-a-Prof/Thank-a-TA” to celebrate teaching and learning at the University and to recognize professors and TAs for their contributions. In the intense and uncertain world of COVID-19, a thank you note can be especially meaningful. There is no limit to the number of notes you can submit, and you have the option to remain anonymous.
In the past year we’ve sent over 1,600 thank-you notes on behalf of Columbia students. These notes have brought joy to the Columbia teaching community. You can check out our video and a sampling of thank you messages from last year through the button below.
Teaching Conference Support
Current Columbia doctoral students are invited to apply for funds to help defray expenses associated with attending a conference or training focused on teaching practices in higher education. Approved applicants will receive up to $750.
This support is is being sponsored by the GSAS Office of the Dean, funded by the Office of the Provost, and administered by CTL.
