Consultations for Graduate Students
The CTL provides graduate students and postdocs with consultations at all points in their teaching career. These include consultations on teaching statements, professional development, preparing for the job market, teaching online, and general teaching-related support.
We invite you to drop by live office hours (no need for an appointment) for one-on-one help. Or, if you prefer, you may request an individual consultation at a time convenient to you, via the link on this page.
About individual consultations
Priority for individual consultations will be given to graduate students who are attending CTL programming related to the area of their inquiry or who are first-time users of our services. We must limit individual consultations to no more than two per student per topic during a given semester.
We can best accommodate an individual consultation request if we are given at least one week notice. Your request will be processed and acknowledge within 48 hours. Once we schedule a meeting with you, please submit your materials for review at least 24 hours in advance of the consultation, if applicable.
Please note that late summer and early fall is a high demand season for consultations; we ask that you be patient and understand that we may not be able to accommodate all requests during this period.
