Celebrate Teaching and Learning

The Office of the Provost and the Center for Teaching and Learning invite the Columbia community to celebrate 10 years of teaching innovation by faculty who are transforming their courses and pedagogies through the Office of the Provost’s Teaching and Learning Grants.

Join us for online panels on February 1 and February 7, and an in-person panel and reception on February 13 in Low Library, featuring Columbia faculty.

Office Hours 
Through the month of January, drop in to 212 Butler Library, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, for support. A CTL Learning Designer will be available to assist you with CourseWorks course sites and other instructional technologies.

Join us for office hours via Zoom (or phone) Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm to have your teaching with instructional technology questions answered, or schedule an in-person appointment any time by contacting ColumbiaCTL@columbia.edu.

Dialogue Across Difference (DXD)

The Dialogue Across Difference (DxD) initiative is designed to foster a community of learners among students, faculty, and staff and to engage with diverse perspectives and navigate challenging conversations with a shared commitment to mutual understanding and respect.

Dr. Beth Fisher-Yoshida, program director of the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program in the School of Professional Studies, will lead a faculty workshop where faculty will gain tools to negotiate conflict, especially in times of crisis, and navigate campus climate dynamics.
