2023 Celebration of Teaching and Learning Symposium
The Office of the Provost and the Center for Teaching and Learning invite the Columbia community to the 2023 Celebration of Teaching and Learning Symposium to celebrate the ways that faculty and graduate students are transforming their courses and pedagogies.
Join us for an in-person faculty panel and celebratory reception on Tuesday, March 21, and three live online panels on Thursday, March 23, featuring Columbia faculty and graduate students.

- 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm: Branching Out—Enhancing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning through Learning Analytics and Applied Learning Sciences
- 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Taking the Lead—Developing Agency as a Graduate Student Instructor
2023 Office of the Provost Teaching and Learning Grants
Looking to integrate new educational approaches or technologies into your classroom? Exploring ways to leverage AI tools to enhance teaching and learning? The Office of the Provost provides a variety of funding opportunities up to $25,000 for Columbia faculty looking to enhance their learning environments. Grant offerings range from experimenting with one new pedagogical tool to a full course redesign. Recipients receive logistical, organizational, and instructional design support from the CTL. Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for 2023 grants are now open.
We strongly encourage all faculty to get a head start on your proposal to prepare for the Monday, May 1, 2023 application due date. Please contact ColumbiaCTL@columbia.edu to schedule a consultation with CTL staff to help develop your project plan and determine the appropriate in-kind support level.
