This Week for Faculty: The CTL appreciates you

by | May 8, 2024

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize your exemplary work as facilitators of student learning.

At the CTL, we are here to support you in your teaching. We admire how committed you are to giving your best to your students every semester! You go above and beyond to help students learn. Thank you for all that you do to advance teaching and learning at Columbia.

Take care of yourself while supporting your students

The end of the semester can be a stressful time for your and your students. Consider sharing well-being resources with your students, and know who to contact when you are concerned about a student—the Columbia Blue Folder provides the tools to identify, address, and refer students appropriately. The CTL’s Teaching in Times of Stress and Challenge also has a list of resources that you can connect with.

Support to innovate your teaching:
Apply for a Provost’s Teaching and Learning Grant

There is still time to submit a proposal! The 2024 Office of the Provost’s Teaching and Learning Grants deadline is now Monday, May 13, 2024.

Schedule a consultation with the CTL to ask questions, and discuss your proposal, project plan, and in-kind support. Please contact ColumbiaCTL@columbia.edu.

The CTL is here to support your teaching!
