New to teaching at Columbia? Register for the CTL’s Fall 2016 orientation

Columbia’s Center for Teaching and Learning is holding orientation sessions in August and September for faculty and graduate student instructors. We encourage new and junior faculty, teaching fellows, and teaching assistants to attend these orientation sessions.
Orientations provide an opportunity for instructors to:
- Get familiar with instructional resources on campus, procedures and policies, and methods for getting a class off to a good start.
- Connect with colleagues as well as teaching support staff at the CTL.
- Explore topics such as preparing to teach, active learning, syllabus design, and teaching and learning with technology.
