How do we talk about teaching and learning to peers, students, and potential employers? This workshop will help participants generate narratives about their experiences as students and instructors in a variety of learning situations. We will use these narratives to articulate teaching priorities and build a vocabulary to discuss pedagogical approaches across disciplines in a meaningful way. Participants will come away with approaches for articulating a personal narrative exploring the relationship between teaching, learning, and research in their academic lives. This workshop will be led by Renee McGarry, Senior Instructional Designer at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
