Documenting Your Teaching: Teaching Statement Sprint, Part 1

October 4, 2016
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Butler Library Room 212

This is part 1 of a two-part series that offers participants a hands-on opportunity to prepare a teaching statement for the academic job market. In this session, participants get an introduction to elements of a strong teaching statement, and then engage in activities designed to kick-start the writing process of a draft or revision of their own statements.

In the Part 2 of the series, participants share full drafts of their statements, offer each other feedback and suggestions, and further refine their statements.

Documenting Your Teaching is a set of workshops that focus on ways to gather real evidence of your teaching life. Light breakfast and coffee will be offered to registered participants.
