Orientations provide an opportunity for new instructors to:
- Get familiar with instructional resources on campus, procedures and policies, and methods for getting a class off to a good start.
- Connect with other first-time instructors as well as teaching support staff at the CTL.
- Explore topics such as teaching for the first time, active learning, grading strategies and rubrics, syllabus design, tools for teaching and learning, among others.

*The orientation session on August 31 will have an Introduction to Teaching in the Core session for junior faculty in the CoreCurriculum, presented in collaboration with the Center for the Core Curriculum and the Junior Faculty Advisory Board.
