Check if course reading was completed and receive immediate course feedback

Lecturer Skye Cleary’s course in the School of Professional Studies uses the audience response system (Socrative) to check for understanding from assigned reading and to get immediate course feedback. Through using ARS, she can get a sense of whether her students did the reading and if they understood the important points. The ability to receive anonymous responses also gives her the opportunity to ask for course feedback right after a lecture rather than waiting until the end of the semester. This allows her to make adjustments from class to class to make sure students are grasping important concepts before moving onto other topics in the course.
