Ben Silver
Ph.D. Candidate, Department of Psychology; CTL Senior Teaching Consultant
Ben (he/him) is a 5th year PhD student in the Psychology department, studying social cognitive neuroscience. Through the CTL, he has completed the Lead Teaching Fellowship and the Teaching Observation Fellowship, as well as the Inclusive Course Design Seminar. This is his second year as a Teaching Consultant. In his department, he’s taught his own laboratory section for three different research methods courses, and has TA’ed for several other lecture courses. Pedagogically, Ben is particularly interested in how instructors create welcoming and inclusive classroom environments, and how instructors can best encourage and enhance student engagement.
