Ruilin Fan

Ruilin (she/her) is in her fifth year as a PhD candidate in the Department of English and Comparative Literature. She has taught University Writing, a mandatory Core Curriculum class, for four semesters and led weekly two-hour seminars for the introductory class to the English major, Literary Text, Critical Methods, in spring 2023. She was a Teaching Observation Fellow in the 2022-23 academic year at the CTL, and is currently a Teaching Assessment Fellow, where she studies the efficacy of provost-funded innovative teaching initiatives. Ruilin is particularly passionate about decentering grades in education and designing embodied learning experiences.
