The CTL also offers “Workshops To Go” — an on-demand offering for departments or programs that wish to host a short pedagogical workshop for their faculty.

Fall 2018 New Faculty Orientation to Teaching

At the start of each semester, the CTL provides Columbia faculty with an orientation that offers practical, evidence-based strategies faculty can implement on the first day of class, and introduces new faculty to the Columbia teaching culture. The orientation is open to all faculty, though it is especially useful for new or junior faculty in their first five years of teaching at Columbia.
