The Office of the Provost has launched two new Request for Proposals (RFPs) for funding opportunities for Columbia faculty who are looking to integrate new educational technologies into their classroom and online teaching.
New online course Science of Learning–What Every Teacher Should Know set to launch November 16
On November 16, 2016, Teachers College, Columbia University and the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning will launch a new MOOC (massive open online course) The Science of Learning–What Every Teacher Should Know on the edX platform. The course is free and open to all.
Using video in pedagogy
Holly Myers’ experience with video in the classroom began with a deficit. Russian-language courses offered through Columbia’s Department of Slavic Languages didn’t use the type of multimedia course material frequently included in foreign-language classes. For Myers, this absence presented an opportunity.
CTL announces new microteaching opportunity for graduate and postdoctoral students
