Manage final assessments and grading
The CTL offers resources on assessing student learning that you can access on demand, including:
- Creating Online Exams
- Grading at Columbia: Tips and Strategies using CourseWorks (Canvas) and Gradescope
- Creating Assignments and Grading Online with Gradescope
- Incorporating Rubrics Into Your Feedback and Grading
- Promoting Academic Integrity

Take care of yourself while supporting your students
The end of the semester can be a stressful time for your and your students. Consider sharing well-being resources with your students, and know who to contact when you are concerned about a student—the Columbia Blue Folder provides the tools to identify, address, and refer students appropriately. The CTL’s Teaching in Times of Stress and Challenge also has a list of resources that you can connect with.

Apply for a Provost’s Teaching and Learning Grant
Do you have an innovative teaching project in mind? Perhaps you are interested in trying a new pedagogical approach? Are you thinking about designing an interdisciplinary course? Is your department engaged in curriculum redesign? Are you looking to experiment with AI in your teaching and your students’ learning? Apply for an Office of the Provost’s Teaching and Learning Grant!
There is still time to submit a proposal! The 2024 Office of the Provost’s Teaching and Learning Grants RFP deadline is Monday, May 13, 2024.
